Season 1, Episode 10 – Despite the triumph of our trio of exes, and the reveal that they are the titular “imposters,” the season finale of Imposters ultimately felt incomplete, as the show obviously looks forward to a second season, without any guarantee of one.
IMPOSTERS
Season 1, Episode 9 – The penultimate episode of Imposters starts to bring things to a close, though not without a few last-minute twists and turns to keep us on our seats. But really, how many times can they pull the “Ezra was in on it the whole time” scheme?
Season 1, Episode 8 – This week’s Imposters offers up an almost comical amount of twists, as the game of cat-and-mouse between the cons and their marks begins. Maddie becomes aware that Patrick is an FBI agent, and enlists Richard, Ezra and Jules in her plan to get out of their predicament.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Imposters follows up last week’s shocker of an episode not with a bang, but with a whimper. A detour to Ezra’s home life slows things down monumentally, while the reveal of Patrick’s FBI status sadly adds no real tension to his and Maddie’s relationship.
Season 1, Episode 6 – In a shocking twist of events, Imposters redeems its most boring character with the reveal that Patrick is an FBI agent who is playing Maddie as much as she is playing him. Meanwhile, Maddie’s con is almost compromised by her three exes out for closure and their money.
Season 1, Episode 5 – The Thurmentum continues, with Imposters besting itself every week thanks to a thrillingly creepy performance by Uma Thurman and the collision of the show’s multiple plotlines. That’s right, our trio of exes finally found Maddie.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Imposters introduces Uma Thurman as the menacing hit man Lenny Cohen, in a role that seems (and probably was) tailor made for the movie star. But the rest of the cast gamely hold their own against Thurman, in an episode that raises the stakes and dives deeper into the origin of the cryptic Maddie.
Season 1, Episode 3 – With the trio of spurned exes finally united and Maddie getting in over her head (or head over heels), the third episode of Imposters is a marked improvement from last week’s — and it’s not just because of Uma Thurman.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Love is in the air in the Valentine’s Day episode of Imposters, with Maddie making the moves on her mark, Ezra and Richard deepening their buddy-comedy bond, and a whole lot of set-up to … something. The second episode of the new Bravo drama promises thrills but doesn’t yet deliver them.
Bravo may be trying to break new ground from its usual reality TV fare with Imposters — a sexy black comedy that follows the exploits of a seductive con woman — but sadly, it’s hardly a groundbreaking series.
