The TV Development and Current Series Intern will shadow and be able to share their creative point of view on content with high-level executives on both sides of Development and Production.

Identify and pitch stories and guests appropriate for the show, and each individual hour. Prepare appropriate research for pitch meetings with producers and anchor.
Responsibilities include handling phones, managing schedules, tracking submissions, conducting research, writing coverage and development notes, and maintaining project status updates.

Handle daily submissions, client communication, and meetings with prospective talent.
Evaluates incoming script and pitch materials for team evaluation. Reviews and prioritizes pitch requests for SVP’s review. Follow up with creators and artists to coordinate meetings, pitches, review notes, etc.
Provides a full range of administrative support including preparing, proofreading, and redlining legal documents, including drafting contracts and correspondence. Assists with meeting preparation and presentations.
Assist the production management team with campaign production, including booking crew, freelancers, and organizing reviews. Create call sheets for filming and understand crew rates and overtime policies.
Reading and analyzing incoming material and new drafts for projects currently in development. Scheduling meetings with key players in the industry. Updating grids and status reports.
Negotiate and structure key agreements across film development, production, and distribution, including talent, financing, co-financing, and distribution deals. Draft and finalize contracts to align with the studio’s creative and financial objectives.
Coordinate and attend writer and director general meetings for potential staffing as well as pitch meetings; take notes. Track and read incoming spec material and submissions, agency and staffing submissions; manage submissions database.
Daily tasks include scheduling, call rolling, creative input, and general management of the SVP’s desk. Read internal creative materials under tight deadlines under consideration for Mattel Studios while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Track application and programs, as well as the annual Directors Lab. It also works closely with the Director of Producing and Artist Support on Producers Track activities, including the annual Lab & Fellowship selection process and year-round programming.
Review pitch materials, writer coverage and provide recommendation. Act as a liaison to other Amazon Studios departments. Evaluate the quality of scripts and offer creative feedback.
Immerse yourself in the NBCUniversal culture, and gain exposure to its vast portfolio by contributing to areas of the business including, but not limited to: public relations, corporate functions, production & development, marketing, streaming, social media, filmed entertainment, news production, business development, ad sales and digital.
Provide administrative support to executives on the feature film team, including but not limited to, scheduling meetings, rolling calls and maintaining call sheets, managing calendars, preparing and submitting expense reports, and arranging occasional travel.
Initiate project creation and configuration to facilitate content receipt and other internal and external operations. Utilize internal tools and applications to capture pertinent technical specifications, production/quality control notes, and any other essential documentation from production teams and/or licensors.
Fellowship winners will be mentored and will have the opportunity to participate in workshops on the process of development– including pitching, hearing from writers and other industry professionals on the craft, and discussing the business of writing.
Build relationships with show creators and creative community. Assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches. Work with writers and artists to develop series ideas and scripts.
Responsibilities include heavy scheduling for clients and managers, rolling calls, tracking materials across various grids, and providing thoughtful coverage and notes on scripts.
Manage a busy calendar, coordinate communication with a team of representatives, and efficiently handle travel booking & planning.

Originating, identifying and developing new ideas for TV series in line with Heyday’s business plan/development strategy. Reading submitted books and scripts – both solicited and unsolicited.
High-volume contract administration. Organizing and maintaining files, deal logs and contract precedent logs. Fostering excellent relationships with agents, agency clients and internal/external executives.
Create or adapt original story concepts and develop them through research and the writing of overviews, outlines, treatments, scripts, and show information guides under the guidance of a senior member of the Story Development team and project teams.
Manage complex calendars and scheduling with leaders and team across time zones. Coordinate domestic and international travel itineraries with seamless logistics. Manage expense report coordination and submission.
Manage calendars, roll calls, schedule meetings, and coordinate for the production company.
Organizing and participating in the notes process for casting and content presentation, while coordinating between the network and current shows’ production departments. Actively participating and contributing in production department meetings. This includes game show formatting, run-throughs and design meetings.
Assist agent in all professional administrative matters. Ensure clients are handled appropriately. Analyze content and related material.
