When Quince is murdered, they become the prime suspects in a modern day whodunit.
Kathryn Bigelow was previously set to direct the film, which once had Tom Hardy and Riz Ahmed attached to star. Bigelow is now producing alongside Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Matthew Budman, as well as director Pablo Larrain’s producing partner Juan de Dios Larraín.
The eight-episode drama is based on the Wally Lamb novel of the same name.
Directed by Michael Goi and starting production later this month in Alabama, the movie is about a boat with a haunted past and the family trapped on it.
Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City is in the works for an episodic adaptation at Netflix with original castmembers Laura Linney and Olympia Dukakis attached to star. The pair starred in miniseries adaptations based on the first three books in the series, with the first airing on 1993 on PBS, and 1998 and 2001 on Showtime.
