The duo’s second collaboration, released on Christmas Day, takes them into the world of British high fashion circa the ’50s.

Focus Features has secured the worldwide distribution rights to the untitled fashion drama that will see There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Andersen reteam with actor Daniel Day-Lewis. Focus will finance the $35 million production, eyeing a release date of the second half of 2017, just in time for awards season.
No details about the project have been revealed and no deals have been set, but the film will be the first time the Academy Award winning actor and the director since 2007’s There Will Be Blood.
Kept under wraps, but will take place in the fashion world during the 1950s.
The project, inspired by the classic Carlo Collodi novel, stars Downey as aging puppeteer Geppetto, who creates the titular wooden puppet that dreams of becoming a real boy.
