The Circle brings some very timely and heady topics to the forefront and even though I haven’t read the book from which it was adapted, I can already tell that this movie doesn’t do justice to its source material.

Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt has agreed to join The Circle. James Ponsoldt’s adaptation of Dave Eggar’s best-seller also stars Tom Hanks, Emma Watson, John Boyega and Karen Gillan.
Watson will play a young woman who becomes employed at an Internet monopoly called the Circle, which links users’ personal emails, social media, banking and purchasing, and meets a mysterious older man (Hanks)
The film is based on the 2013 novel by Dave Eggers. The project is set to be directed by James Ponsoldt, who has also written the screenplay. Hanks is producing alongside of Gary Goetzman.
