Vikramaditya Motwane Set To Direct Stan Lee’s “Chakra The Invincible”

POW! Entertainment, , and Phantom Films will team up to produce the Bollywood feature , based on the character created by legendary comic book writer Stan Lee. Phantom’s is set to adapt the screenplay and direct the live-action adaptation.

The story centers around a technology genius living in Mumbai who develops a suit that activates chakras of the body, unleashing super powers that he uses to fight his arch-enemy Boss Yama.

Lee will produce through his POW! shingle along with Gill Champion, Sharard Devarajan, and Madhu Mantena.

This is the first Bollywood project for Lee, who created the character that first premiered on Cartoon Network India in 2013. There are three additional animated TV movies currently in production based on the character.

“Vikramaditya is an amazingly talented filmmaker who I have no doubt can make the Chakra film a massive hit in India and around the world,” Lee said in a statement announcing the project. “I only hope he remembers to include my cameo.”

Motwane is the writer and director of the films Lootera and Udaan.
