Jordan Schur is diving headfirst into filmmaking with his newly created Suretone Pictures, landing directors for two of its upcoming projects. Acclaimed film and television actor Vincent D’Onofrio will be making his directorial debut with THE KID. Veteran action writer/director Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces, The Grey) has signed on for FIVE AGAINST A BULLET.
D’Onofrio, who recently redefined the Marvel villain Wilson Fisk AKA The Kingpin on the hit Netflix series Daredevil, will direct the story of Billy the Kid, set near the end of his life; the story is told through the eyes of a boy hoping to convince the gunfighter to save his sister from his uncle only to find a callous immature Billy the Kid not live up to his legend. D’Onofrio will also star in the film with James Franco and Ethan Hawke. He is repped by UTA.
Carnahan will be taking on an action film in which five elite bodyguards are hired to keep a Mexico City mayoral candidate alive through the election process while cartel hit men try to take him out. Carnahan is repped by CAA.
