Season 4, Episode 10 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine decks the halls with an investigation to find the perfect Christmas Gift and Caroller in “Captain Latvia.” With a slight division from the usual storylines, the episode falls a bit flat from its usual voice and humor.
Season 1, Episodes 5-7 – Shut Eye finally lives up to it’s promise delivering entertaining episodes. As we move to the middle section of the season, our characters find themselves at low points and tight spots as Charlie’s visions get stronger and more vivid.
Season 2, Episode 9 – Scream Queens is coming to a close but not before a few more dirty word plays and guest stars pop up.
Season 1, Episode 8 – As People of Earth hits the home stretch of its inaugural season, the aliens continue to experience deepening closeness with the humans they’ve been tasked to alternately infiltrate or observe.
Season 1, Episode 10 – Lucy, Rufus, and Wyatt race back to revolutionary America in this week’s Timeless in an attempt to make sure Flynn doesn’t kill George Washington, only to join forces with him to capture Benedict Arnold.
Season 1, Episode 10 – It’s finally the season finale of Divorce. I made the mistake of thinking it was 2 episodes ago, but nah. It’s the end, and it’s a brutal one. There is nothing funny about this episode whatsoever.
Season 1, Episode 9 – Berlin Station it’s the beginning and the end for Thomas Shaw in “Thomas Shaw.” With a more secrets to uncover and a back story that softens hardshells, the show is finally realizing what it always had the potential to be.
Season 3, Episode 4 – The Affair heats up with Cole (Joshua Jackson) and Alison (Ruth Wilson). Cole’s wife, Luisa, (Catalina Moreno) can sense something is going on with those two but can’t confirm whether it’s true or whether she’s crazy.
Season 1, Episode 13 – Dmitri gives Van Helsing a lesson in family history before trying to harvest her eggs and inseminate her. Mohamad reunites with Sheema but she’s changed a lot since he saw her last. Taka’s rebels launch a coordinated attack against the citadel while Van finds Dylan and an old friend surfaces just when we need him.
season 1, Episodes 2-4 Continuing, but not necessarily expanding, on the first episode Shut Eye seems not too sure on what it wants to do outside of the big con with the big payoff. These next 3 episodes feel like scattershot placesetting rather than continuing to tell a story. Are these characters even going through an arc? And outside of the big score, what’s the end game?
Season 2, Episodes 1-13 – Fuller House hits the ground running with a second season that claims its voice with pride and delivers episode after episode of sitcom delight. With a compelling arc and a skillfully blended recipe of 90’s nostalgia, Full House references, and relatable, modern dilemmas, the show proves that it has more to offer than just a shadow of its corny rebooted past.
Season 3, Episodes 1-10 – With the orchestra disbanded, Rodrigo and Hailey reconnect in Venice, Italy while the rest of the crew try to get the band back together in the highly entertaining (and best?) third season of Mozart in the Jungle. Utilizing it’s all star cast as well as special guest stars, Amazon’s highly underrated show returns to show why it’s the one of the best out now.
Season 2, Episode 10 – Baal and Evil Ruby return to the scene of the crime, doing battle against Ash, Kelly and Good Ruby in tandem with the soul-swallowing Henrietta Knowby.
Season 1, Episode 9 – Son of Zorn’s Christmas/Grafelnik effort results in the show’s best episode yet when Alan pits Zorn and Edie against each other to earn his love by buying him better presents.
Season 2, Episode 10 – In the season two finale, Walter and Harry have to take the evidence they’ve received about the Rudolphs and find a way to reveal it to the world despite Walter’s suspension. Luckily, his team is here to help and do what they need to get around their boss’ order.
Season 3, Episode 9 – The fall finale of The Last Man on Earth tells us just how dark the series has become in recent weeks. Not only are Gail – trapped in an elevator – and Melissa – trapped in her own head – problematic for the group’s survival, but just about everyone has their own demons to battle.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency wraps up with season with “Two Sane Guys Doing Normal Things.” With the Spring case solved and all the loose ends connected, things take an interested turn for Dirk and his detective team.
Season 1, Episode 10 – MacGyver takes us back to Mac’s hometown in “Pliers.” With another switch-up, the show seems to remain indecisive about what it wants to be.
Season 1, Episode 9 – Marcus uncovers the plot to assassinate the Pope on The Exorcist while searching for the missing Brother Bennett. Now that he knows the plan, while he be able to stop it? Angela has given complete control over to Pazuzu in order to spare Casey. Is there any chance to save her from the demon inside of her?
Season 2, Episode 7 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend stops taking field trips and brings its winter finale back home in “Who’s the Cool Girl Josh Is Dating?” Taking on both Rebecca’s falling out with Paula and her obsession with Josh, the episode returns the focus to the original pillars of the story.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Burton continues to search for the woman from his dreams on Falling Water as the connections between characters solidify. Tess and Bill search for her son, but a warning from a friend reveals Bill may not be who he says he is. Taka finally makes a connection with his mother, but what has she been waiting for?
Season 1, Episode 7 – Despite its best efforts, Pure Genius‘s Christmas episode is more lukewarm than heartwarming, even as a leukemia patient helps Bell come to terms with his GSS diagnosis. Meanwhile, Dr. Verlaine and Dr. Brockett take a step forward in their relationship; unfortunately, this means the show takes a step back.
Season 2, Episode 8 – This week on Legends of Tomorrow Damien Darkh and the Speedster emerge with an old friend. The Legends find themselves in 1927 Chicago, where they learn Darkh and Co are not here to play. On the bright side, Rip Hunter graces our screens again!
Season 1, Episode 9 – In the penultimate episode before the mid-season finale, an NSA worker leaks classified documents that will leave a lasting impression on the Kirkman administration. Meanwhile, MacLeish is under a congressional hearing to validate his qualifications for the Vice Presidency and Kimble will stop at nothing to persecute him.
Season 3, Episode 9 – Dre uses his connections to get Zoey an internship at Teen Vogue, but worries that her success there is due to his reputation and not hard work.
Season 2, Episode 10 – Impastor ends its second season with a ridiculous, melodramatic episode, feeling more like a soap opera than a dark comedy. It ends on a big cliffhanger, but will it be enough to get the show a third season?
Season 4, Episode 9 – The Goldbergs reminds us all how fleeting entertainment trends are in “Globetrotters.” With its usual strong sense of parody, the show continues to demonstrate what family, even ridiculous family, is all about.
