Season 1, Episode 4 – Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus chase Flynn to Nazi Germany in this episode of Timeless. Is Flynn going to give the atom bomb he stole to help the Nazi’s win the war? Can the famous British spy they team up with help them stop Flynn before it’s too late?
Season 3, Episode 2 – Jane the Virgin offers up some lingo we’re not used to hearing – medical abortion. “Chapter Forty-Six” is about more than abortion. It’s about transparency in the family. We all have things we’ve gone through, and an abortion may be one them.
Season 5, Episode 4 – The Mindy Project isn’t afraid to show its feminist side in a pretty great episode, where Jeremy’s decision to hire another doctor causes Mindy to confront her issues with working with females.
Season 4, Episode 7 – There’s still a sour taste from last week’s episode, but luckily there were several enjoyable scenes setting up for some potentially good arcs in this week’s episode, even if it was overly stuffed.
Season 1, Episode 3 – This week on Insecure, “Racist as F***”, Issa finally gets a win, Molly is problematic as hell, I actually root for Lawrence, and all of my emotions are played with.
Season 1, Episodes 1-2 – The first 3 episodes of Black Mirror shows us a world where ‘likes’ really matter, the negative side effects of virtual reality, and the lengths people will go to protect their privacy.
Season 7, Episode 1 – The Walking Dead returns for its seventh season with a brutal episode to where we left off: who did Neegan beat to death?
Season 2, Episode 4 – Ash must do battle with his beloved Oldsmobile Delta 88, a.k.a. “The Classic,” after it gets possessed by the Book of the Dead.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Van Helsing and Susan escape the sewers but her newest wounds refuse to heal. Susan gets her to the hospital in time to assist in Axel’s escape and bloodbath against Brendan’s redshirts. Brendan and a few survivors are banished from the hospital. Sheema leads her resistance cell into a vampire ambush led by Rebecca and Mohamad finds a weapon to help him survive while on his own.
Season 3, Episode 9 – The Strainis winding down, but not before some minor revelations lead to major changes in the game.
Season 2, Episode 4 – This week’s episode of Quantico has been the strongest of this season so far. The terrorist plot moves forward; the daily Farm lesson is intriguing, and we finally get to glimpse deeper into the CIA recruits’ psyches. Plus, we get a definitive character reveal that will change the course of the season.
Season 1, Episode 1 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency beautifully meshes absurdist humor and dark thriller drama in “Horizons.” With a chaotic whirlwind of character introductions and mysterious loose ends, the show promises to be a wild and fun ride.
Season 2, Episode 4 – Walter and Harry have a difference of opinion that leads to Harry moving out and in with Walter’s neighbor Ronnie, and Walter hiring Herschel as Harry’s replacement. Meanwhile, Walter mobilizes the team to work on his latest news story and help finish the work Cornelia started.
Season 1, Episode 4 – The fourth episode of Westworld shows the memories of past events flooding in for both Maeve and Delores as they try to figure out if they are going crazy or if there is more to their world than they realize.
Season 3, Episode 4 – It’s time to leave Malibu on The Last Man on Earth, so the gang takes a road trip up the California coast to San Francisco. Phil imagines the group is like Noah’s Arc, but things almost fall completely apart for our assembled mammals. Can the group see the light?
Season 1, Episode 3 – “Counseling” introduces us to a Robert (Thomas Haden Church) and Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) that act like they want to stay married. I guess this is what you do before you cut ties forever, so this episode of Divorce gives us the expedited version of that.
Season 1, Episode 5 – After Zorn finds the media’s depiction of Zephyrians offensive, he decides he needs to educate Alan on his heritage. This week’s episode feels slightly less organized than usual, but still brings plenty of laughs.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Quarry challenges us to see the good in bad behavior. The Broker (Peter Mullan) is establishing himself as a Savior of sorts. Marcus (Joshua J. Williams) buys his mother flowers with money that doesn’t belong to him. And Buddy (Damon Herriman) wants to be The Broker’s gun supplier.
Season 1, Episode 6 – Patrick ‘breaks up’ with The Guy when he reads a self-help book that turns his life around. The Guy gets robbed and has to pay a visit to Gwen to get his spare key. He questions his job and Gwen just wants to enjoy her night alone.
Season 1, Episode 5 – MacGyver starts to move on from his evil ex-girlfriend in “Toothpick.” Though the show continues to improve with each episode, its voice hasn’t quite landed yet.
Season 1, Episode 5 – So far The Exorcist has played in the same universe as the films without any direct connections to the original movie, but the revelation in this episode changes the entire ball game. Father Marcus and Tomas battle against the demon inside of Casey, but will they prevail? Angela has a secret, but how does Henry know?
Season 2, Episode 1 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend returns with its usual mix of pop culture, stylized genre songs, and romantic deconstruction. Rebecca manipulates her friends and loved ones in her usual effort to keep Josh close and fulfill her own exaggerated fantasies.
Season 2, Episode 2 – In this week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow , “Justice Society of America” the Legends’ were forced to team up with their worst nightmare: an old school team of supers who were actually good at their job.
Season 1, Episode 7 – It’s a game changing episode of The Good Place, but that doesn’t stop it from also being laugh out loud hilarious.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Can Falling Water survive its dull first two episodes and transform into a far more interesting show, or will it continue to tread water and eventually peter out? A show with a solid premise like this shouldn’t be wasting it’s promise and boring it’s viewers, but that’s exactly the problem this show is having.
Season 1, Episode 7 – “Duke’s Chorus” isn’t really about Duke’s Chorus. It’s a lesson on how to unapologetically be yourself on this episode of Better Things. This includes temporarily freeing a Mormon lady from strict religious beliefs. P.S. she cusses.
Season 2, Episode 6 – In a rare misstep for a great show, Superstore gives us an average episode that demonstrates just how much this workplace comedy owes The Office. Cloud Nine hosts a dog adoption day, while Amy and Glenn help Cheyenne and Beau with their relationship.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Lethal Weapon delivers another thrilling episode when Riggs and Murtaugh investigate a former Navy SEAL’s dangerous personal mission, while Murtaugh deals with slowing down after his heart attack.
Season 3, Episode 4 – In the middle of Liza’s mixed emotions and convoluted day job on Younger, she has a new “generational taboo” to tackle.
