Nurse Jackie star, Edie Falco, has been cast opposite Kate Mara in the indie biopic Megan Leavey to be directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite. Falco will play “Jackie” in the film, Megan Leavey’s mother. The film tells the story of Leavey and her military combat dog Rex, who saved countless lives from 2004-2006 searching for roadside bombs.

Jennifer Aniston and Jack Huston join the adaptation of the novel The Yellow Birds by Kevin Powers. Huston takes over the role previously held by Benedict Cumberbatch. Alexandre Moors is set to direct, replacing Will and David Lowery.
