THE SON

Season 1, Episode 10 – Eli and Phineas accuse the Garcias of burning down the saloon and take a possee to go get their revenge. Meanwhile Pete rides ahead to warn the Garcia’s and help them leave before the bloodshed begins. It’s a McCullough v McCullough battle on the season one finale of “The Son.”

Season 1, Episode 9 – Young Eli having survived his fall, finds help from an unlikely person. Meanwhile, in the “present,” Eli finds that he’s put something into motion that he can’t undo, even if it means destroying his relationship with Phineas and Pete.

Season 1, Episode 8 – Eli and Phineas begin their plot to take over the oil rich land belonging to the Garcias. Meanwhile complicating matters back at the ranch, Pete rekindles his old relationship with Maria Garcia, much to the annoyance of her father.

Season 1, Episode 6 – Eli takes Jeannie to look for the oil seepage she passed while searching for help from the Sedicios. Meanwhile, Charles lusts to avenge his family for the attack on their home, and is willing to go outside the McCullough clan for help.

Season 1, Episode 5 – The war with the Revolutionaries follows Eli home, as word arrives that they’re planning on attacking his property and family. Meanwhile, a young Eli reaches a crossroads with his new Comanche family and makes a choice that will cement his position in the tribe.

Season 1, Episode 4 – After Pete gets some information from Maria about the Mexican revolutionaries, he and Eli organize a posse to protect their borders from an impending attack. Forced into battle together, father and son learn some harsh truths about their relationship.

Season 1, Episode 3 – Eli travels with Phineas to see about a possible business proposition which doesn’t end well, but lets Eli reflect on the future of the McCulloughs. Meanwhile, Pete reckons with his actions regarding the Pedro Garcia’s son in law and the possible fall out that could affect his family.

Season 1, Episodes 1-2 – In Texas in 1915, family patriarch Eli McCullough realizes change needs to happen in his business to keep up with the times. Believing that his lands contain oil, Eli throws his family into new territory and new relationships to build the legacy he wants.

AMC drama The Son has tapped Pierce Brosnan to star after losing previously cast Sam Neil. The role marks a return to television for Brosnan, who starred in Remington Steele over thirty years ago.

Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories is teaming up again with Bold Films on a feature adaptation of Jo Nesbo’s The Son. Denis Villeneuve is set to direct.
