Abrams & Polley Set to Breath New Life into an old Project.

Logline: A bipolar man attempts to hold onto his stability in order to take care of his two daughters while their mother does her best to start a career.

Smilovic sets up “The Detail,” Fox commits to a new Guggenheim procedural, and JJ Abrams gets two projects picked up!

JJ ABRAMS pairs with four others for a HOT NEW TV PITCH!

JJ Abrams & Jonah Nolan (yes, Christopher Nolan’s brother — and also the guy who co-wrote INCEPTION and THE DARK KNIGHT, and wrote the original story MEMENTO was based on) are currently shopping a HOT new Crime / Thriller TV project. JJ is producing, while Nolan will script and direct the pilot, with a co-created by title with JJ, who will also produce with his Bad Robot shingle.

Project just started leaking to networks, and a lot of HEAT is already buzzing from the inital meet. Look for this to become a hot priority for networks still looking for slots to fill.

Hearing JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot is about to go out with a hot new drama spec called ALCATRAZ written by Elizabeth Sarnoff. The project is kept under wraps, but going off the title and previous Bad Robot projects, it’s bound to be about strange happenings on the island prison in the San Francisco Bay. Sarnoff, previously worked with Abrams’ in the last four years of LOST, writing or co-writing over 19 episodes.

Logline: Kept under wraps, but said to be a horror/thriller about two teens who go into a closet as part of the titular game “7 minutes in heaven” and find all their friends dead when they come back out.

Logline: Centers on the story of the world’s first robot, who, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, fought alongside Terry Roosevelt and Lawrence of Arabia, journeyed to the South Pole and was involved in the silent movie business before disappearing on the battlefields of World War I.

Logline: Pitched as “The Italian Job” meets “Ocean’s Eleven,” set in Antwerp, Belgium in early 2003, a small group of Italian thieves miraculously circumvents ten layers of security to access a vault beneath the Antwerp Diamond Center and make off with a purported $100 million in jewels.

Logline: In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth — something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.
