Season 3, Episode 15 – Welcome back, The Last Man on Earth, and after a two-week hiatus, we get a pretty insightful look at how the survivors are misunderstanding what a child (and really, everyone) needs. And we get a massive party!

Season 1, Episode 9 – Justin Cornwell’s Detective Kyle Craig finally takes the lead on this episode of Training Day having played second fiddle to Bill Paxton’s Frank Rourke for the entirety of the series. It’s a good thing.
This Saturday, HBO premiered its new movie The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks on the small screen. The Immortal Life not only centers on the heartbreaking story of Henrietta, a black woman whose cells were used for research without her consent, but her family, and the effects of untreated trauma.
Season 1, Episode 4 – After Pete gets some information from Maria about the Mexican revolutionaries, he and Eli organize a posse to protect their borders from an impending attack. Forced into battle together, father and son learn some harsh truths about their relationship.
Season 10, Episode 2 – Doctor Who takes us to a ttly future colony in “Smile.” When emoji bots start killing off unhappy Earth colonists, the Doctor shows up to save the day, or at least, prevent anymore unhappy deaths. With Bill by his side, this season is promising to be an entertaining one full of adventure.
Season 2, Episode 20 – In the 19th installment of the series “Spring Cleaning” brings back my favorite character Bo back as he has to look for a job at Cloud 9 to make some extra cash to pay for his upcoming wedding.
Season 1, Episode 9 – Making the latest episode of Powerless a bottle episode lets the writers make jokes that stem from character and not the wacky DC Universe. It pays off here, in one of the better episodes of the season.
Season 1, Episode 17 – Senator Bowman creates problems for President Kirkman in trying to fill a new supreme court, while journalist Abe Leonard is back to stir up trouble by writing an explosive article that would expose the true nature of the Capitol Hill attack. Speaking of which, Agent Wells and Atwood are in small town in North Dakota to uncover a possible terrorist cell location.
Season 3, Episode 1 – It’s tough to follow up Fargo‘s excellent second season, but the third season premiere shows a heckuva lot of promise.
Season 1, Episode 3 – “The Liar” finally gave us the episode we’ve been waiting for and holds true to the fact that Michael Scofield is one step ahead when it comes to the business of breaking out of prisons… at least until the plan falls apart.
Season 1, Episode 5 – The fifth installment of Shots Fired finally begins to put all the pieces together to form a puzzle worth watching.
Season 2, Episode 7 – On this week’s Underground, Rosalee and Noah arrive on the Macon plantation and find things totally changed. They hatch a plan, however, to rescue James. Cato, meanwhile, makes a deal with Patty Cannon and Ernestine and Clara clash.
Season 2, Episode 13 – The Expanse puts all of the usual suspects in personally dangerous situations rather than system-level ones in “Caliban’s War.” Utilizing everything from science to diplomacy, the second season finale delivers an excellent, suspenseful, tightly-plotted adventure that offers closure on many plot points while opening up vistas of possibility for the future like a good season finale should.
Season 2, Episode 13 – The season finale of The Magicians mostly sets up the next season, without tying up some of the loose threads left over from this season. Quentin and Alice reconnect, but it’s almost instantly interrupted by both of their past actions catching up with them. Ember and Umber are gods, but they have parents, older gods who don’t have any regard for humanity, and they are pissed off.
Season 1, Episode 19 – Bull once again relies on a ridiculous last minute twist with minimal explanation to solve a case, but to the show’s credit, it’s one of its most ridiculous twists yet. Bull helps an infamous criminal defense attorney after he’s accused of killing his fiancé.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Alice helps Andy with a prom-posal. And Ben is trying to keep Dora from growing up too fast.
Season 3, Episode 3 – iZombie explores an enlightened mind and tortured hearts when Ravi confronts Peyton and Blaine about their relationship. Angus lawyers up to retrieve the money from his will and starts a new venture with Don E. Major continues to track down Natalie while he gets sicker by the day. Ravi takes drastic steps to save Major’s life.
Season 5, Episode 7 – The Americans travel to Mississippi to steal some super-wheat and Elizabeth catches Ben in action. Paige frees herself from the Beeman next door while Stan’s integrity pays off at work. Elizabeth snatches an important file for the KGB and Gabriel reveals a little about his past and leaves advice about Paige’s future.
Season 4, Episode 18 – “No Regrets” continues this astonishing run of Agents of SHIELD, mining every aspect of the show and current affairs for its alternate universe. Our friends remain trapped in a VR nightmare while the series knows just which wounds to press and which character traits to tweak for maximum devastation.
Season 3, Episode 20 – Tiger Woods fever has hit Fresh Off the Boat this week. With Jessica finding out that Tiger is half Asian, Louis and her are pitted against each other to see who’s the better parent using Eddie and Evan as pawns. Emery meanwhile is trying to convince all the kids in middle school that Tiger is part Asian and seeks Reba’s help in proving so.
Season 1, Episodes 12-13 – The conclusion of the first season of Trial & Error brings laughs, twists, and heartfelt goodbyes. You will be wanting a second season after watching this season end!
Season 2, Episode 12 – An episode full of tension about who is on whose side. Wade delves into the apparent suicide of Haylie, Butch tries to find his way back to Hasil, Gordon resurfaces, apparently at the behest of the coal company, and G’winn has explosive news for Big Foster.
Season 1, Episode 20 – Drones, drones, drones. Every show is going crazy with them. American Housewife is no different. Taylor is smacked in the head by one, and this makes me nervous. Disclosure: I work in risk management for a studio.
Season 4, Episode 14 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine puts a cop show in a cop show with actors from a cop show in “Need Serve & Protect.” With a compelling sense of humor, this week’s episode delivers with great comedy.
Season 5, Episode 9 – Freddie Highmore is brilliant. Point. Blank. Period. He transforms Norman into a mentally ill killer that you love in Bates Motel. Highmore flows between Norma and Norman so smoothly in this episode that you can’t help but hope that he gets an Emmy nom.
Season 1, Episode 12 – As the clock runs out and the season comes to a close 24: Legacy covers a lot of ground to see Eric rescue Naseri’s daughter as well as Rebecca. With CTU and Senator John Donovan behind him, Eric must use his wits, skills, and resources at hand to bring Naseri and bin-Khalid to justice.
Season 3, Episode 2 – Better Call Saul makes good on its hidden promise in last years episode titles and brings back a beloved character from Breaking Bad, but what does it mean for Mike? Jimmy falls into a trap laid by Chuck, but what’s Chuck’s endgame, and how will it affect his and Jimmy’s relationship going forward?
Season 1, Episode 8 – A twist ending and a personal mission for Christina Hart can’t redeem this boring, at times nonsensical episode of Taken.
Season 1, Episode 11 – An exciting, thought provoking episode of APB gets its highest grade yet and leaves viewers with a giant confrontation between Gideon and DV8 in the finale.
Season 2, Episode 18 – A solid episode of Quantico this week complete with two surprising character returns and good set-up for the final few episodes of the season.
