Season 4, Episode 13 – “BOOM” takes the usual Agents of SHIELD formula and gives it a spin to put Director Mace’s alienation at the center of the narrative. Balancing robots, magic, Inhumans, and scientific enhancement, the episode manages to touch every base and deliver a satisfying conclusion that moves multiple plotlines forward at the same time.

Season 1, Episode 1 – APB, Fox’s new police drama offers a promising concept but slumps into the same cop show you’ve seen a million times before halfway through its premiere.
Season 3, Episode 10 – Monday’s episode of Jane the Virgin gives me an ending that I don’t disagree with, though others will be heartbroken, proving how skilled the creators are at evolving with their cast of characters.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Franco invents a new donut flavor that has hipsters lining out the door, making Arthur question whether or not he can keep up in a changing world. It’s funny enough, but the show’s reliance on stereotypes is already wearing thin.

He’s grieving Andrew’s death, has decided not to resign the papacy, and needs to fix the destruction he’s done to the Catholic Church. Esther and her husband have also disappeared without saying goodbye, and no one knows where they went.
Season 1, Episode 1 – 24: Legacy is a spin-off that feels a bit dated. With some any familiar 24 tropes, one has to wonder what is the purpose of the show as it seems like the only thing that’s changed is the race of the lead character.

Season 1, Episode 1 – CBS’s new sitcom, centering on a millennial artist (Jermaine Fowler) who teams up with an aging donut shop owner (Judd Hirsch) to help keep his business current in a gentrifying neighborhood, premiered tonight, with an uneven but promising episode.
