Fox 2000 is in talks to acquire the life rights to Dare Divas, a group of women inspiring the internet by living life to the fullest. Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers are in talks to produce through their banner Shondaland.

The 60th annual Samuel Goldwyn Writing Awards were announced this week, highlighting excellence in dramatic writing from young writers. This year’s competition was judged by NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt, Richard LaGravenese, and Shonda Rhimes.
The series will be based on the book by Isabel Wilkerson. Rees will write and executive produce the series, with Rhimes producing under her Shondaland moniker. FX Productions will team with ABC Signiature for the project.
