Alexander Dreymon and Rutger Hauer have joined the cast of THE LAST KINGDOM. Dreymon will play Uhtred, the son of a nobleman who is raised by Vikings after they killed his family. The series centers around King Alfred The Great as he leads the Kingdom of Wessex against the invading Viking armies. Hauer’s role is currently unknown. Justin Chatwin and James Frain are joining ORPHAN BLACK. Chatwin will play Jason Kellerman, a charismatic drug dealer/businessman. Frain will portray Ferdinand, a well-educated “cleaner.” The series centers around a woman who realizes she has dozens of clones living throughout the world. Nora Arnezeder is set to co-star opposite James Folk in ZOO. The summer drama follows an American zoologist running safaris in the wilds of Africa who must discover why animals are suddenly turning violent and attacking humans around the world. Arnezeder will play Chloe Tousignant, a french investigator. The French actress is repped by Agence Adequat, WME and Lasher Group.

Ron Canada has booked a recurring role during the second season of THE STRAIN. Canada will portray the NYC mayor, who’s struggling to manage in the time of crisis. The series follows a band of heroes fighting a vampiric plague in NYC. Canada is repped by Stone Manners Salners Agency and Wright Entertainment.
Regina King has landed a starring role opposite Bill Burr in the comedy pilot PARIAH. The series follows a raging TV personality who is fired for his behavior and forced to navigate the world around him, having no real or useful skills. King’s role is currently unknown. She is repped by ICM and John Carrabino Management.

Paul Dano is set to co-star in Steve McQueen’s upcoming drama pilot CODES OF CONDUCT. Dano will co-star opposite Devon Terrell in the pilot, which is a provocative commentary on a young black man’s experience as he joins high society and the New York City elite. Alun Armstrong and Jane Lapotaire will guest star in the upcoming two hour christmas special of DOWNTOWN ABBEY. Armstrong will play Stowell, the Sinderby family’s butler with an axe to grind. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has landed the role of Joe DiMaggio in the upcoming four-hour mini-series MARILYN. The series is based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s book The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe. Chloe Bridges had nabbed a recurring role on FAKING IT. She’ll play a socialite on the series, which follows two high school girls who pretend to be lesbians. Bridges is repped by APA.

Dan Bucatinsky has been promoted from guest star to series regular on the freshman comedy MARRY ME. Bucatinsky will continue to portray the father of Casey Wilson’s character. The series centers around an engaged couple that keeps finding reasons not to get married. Bucatinsky is repped by CAA and Wishlab.
Lenora Crichlow and Spencer Grammer have joined the cast of the midseason comedy MR. ROBINSON. The series is centered around a traveling musician who becomes the music teacher at a high school. Crichlow will play Victoria Wavers, a former Wall Street trader who left to purse her dream to be a high school English teacher. Grammar will portray Ashleigh Willows, a Math teacher that moonlights as an exotic dancer in order to pay off her mortgage. Crichlow is repped by APA and manager Brantley Brown. Ellen Barkin has been tapped to guest star in the upcoming HAPPISH pilot. Steve Coogan stars as a man who suffers a crisis when a twenty-five-year-old becomes his boss. Barkin will play Dani Kirschenbloom, a disillusioned headhunter that acts a philosopher. Barkin is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.
Steven Weber will guest star in an upcoming episode of HOUSE OF LIES. He’ll portray Ray Montinola, a turnaround specialist who is brought in to assist Kaan & Associates after Marty’s (Don Cheadle) incarceration leaves the firm in disarray. Weber is repped by UTA and Brillstein Entertainment.

Daisy Betts has been cast in the lead role on the six-hour miniseries CHILDHOOD’S END, based on Arthur C. Clarke’s classics. The series centers around an alien invasion of Earth by beings called Overlords, who create a peaceful Utopia at the cost of human identity and culture. King will play Ellie, a Tribeca Arts graduate. Michael Stahl-David has been cast as the lead in the UNTITLED MIAMI PROJECT, executive produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay. Set during the 1970’s Florida drug trade, the series follows a charismatic and brilliant man that must balance his priorities in his double life as a pot smuggler for a drug kingpin and his life as a family man. Parminder Nagra, Jessalyn Gilsig and Daniel Zolghadri will co-star opposite Dallas Roberts and Clifton Collins Jr. in EVIL MEN. The supernatural drama pilot follows a man (Harry) who is commanded by a powerful entity to kill “evil men” or see his family come to harm, however, his first target ends up becoming his mentor and helps him to understand his new destiny. Nagra will play Harry’s compassionate and strong wife Sarah, who worries that her husband is having an affair. Gilsig will portray Adela, an Assistant District Attorney in the city of Los Angeles who’s ambitious as she is loyal to Harry. Zolghadri will play Harry and Sarah’s son Max. Justina Machado has joined the drama pilot QUEENS OF THE SOUTH. Based on the novel by Arturo Perez-Reverte, the series follows Teresa Mendoza, who’s forced to go on the run when her drug-dealing boyfriend is unexpectedly murdered in Mexico.
