Season 1, Episode 5 – No Tomorrow explores the relationships between its supporting characters in “No Regrets.” With a whole new list of developments happening in the episode, this could be the start to a very interesting turn of events in the show.
Season 1, Epsiodes 5-7 – It’s happening. It’s all happening. In the 5th-7th episode of Good Girls Revolt, the girls are finally letting loose, or dare I say revolting!
Season 4, Episode 6 – So Agents of SHIELD is basically now on mini hiatus for a month and made “The Good Samaritan” essentially a quarter-season finale and it was amazing. It had a great plot, good backstory, fun character dynamics, and all the crazy you’d expect from a normal pre-hiatus episode—but this is episode six.
Season 5, Episode 5 – Mindy goes on a date with Leland Breakfast (a Benedict Cumberbatch-like British stage actor/Marvel star) after she learns that Ben may not consider their relationship to be exclusive.
Season 1, Episodes 1-2 – In the first two episodes of People of Earth, Wyatt Cenac plays an investigative journalist forced to search his own subconscious for the truth when he writes what he had thought was a puff piece on a rural upstate alien encounters group.
Season 2, Episode 4 – In this week’s Supergirl Kara goes up against Roulette, a woman using aliens to stage gladiatorial battles at a hefty sum. Hank makes a surprising discovery about M’gann Morzz, and Winn hits the town with Mon-El.
Season 3, Episode 3 – Here we go again. Pobrecito Michael (Brett Dier). This time he can’t seem to please Jane (Gina Rodriguez) in bed. And it is her first time in Monday’s episode of Jane The Virgin.
Season 3, Episode 7 – Tetch poisons Gordon and makes him confront his fears and place in Gotham, while Barnes faces the reality of his infection when Alice’s blood tests prove tragic and Penguin is jealous of the new love in Nygma’s life.
Season 2, Episode 6 – Lucifer reveals his actual face to Dr. Martin and Maze shows Trixie her actual look when they go trick or treating while Chloe and Detective Dan work the murder of a bride from a zombie themed wedding. Charlotte mother’s Amenadiel out of depression and gets him to look at his existence in a whole new way.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Wyatt is about to be replaced for not taking out Flynn on Timeless, but before the NSA can pull him off of the mission the team heads to the Alamo to thwart whatever devious plans Flynn has in store.
Season 4, Episode 8 – Bill and Virgina made exciting progress on their relationship, and Nancy proved her true colors in last night’s episode of Masters of Sex.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Berlin Station spirals into conspiracy and threatens Daniel’s cover in “Riverrun Dry.” Continuing with its slow pace, the show leaves a lot to be desired amidst what could be a high-tension, thrilling watch.
Season 7, Episode 2 – The Walking Dead sends Caorl and Morgan to a whole new shiny compound led by King Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva. Morgan wants to explore life in The Kingdom while Carol doesn’t buy Ezekiel’s act. It’s a fairy tale she wants no part of, but King Ezekiel doesn’t want her to leave yet.
Season 2, Episode 5 – Walter struggles with having had to replace Harry with Herschel while working on the drought story which re-connects him with his old kidnapper Duncan Adler. Meanwhile, Jim enjoys his new found confidence which is noticed by the rest of the team, and especially Celia.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Doc does everything she can to save Van Helsing while John and Nicole push to leave the crumbling hospital. Mohamad watches part of Brendan’s team get attacked by vampires on their way to town. Julius mounts an attack against team Axel, but retreats when Dmitri’s death squads arrive. Axel faces the real possibility of having to take Van out himself.
Season 3, Episode 10 – The Strain’sSeason 3 Finale brings excitement, false hope and the return of Zack and he’s more unlikable than ever.
Season 2, Episode 5 – With another solid episode this week, Quantico is starting to pick back up. The Farm lesson involves a dead body, so we’re talking intrigue, and the present day introduces someone on the inside helping Alex. However, the show still can’t seem to fix some of its most glaring issues.
Season 1, Episode 4 – This week on Insecure just as I was finally giving Issa and Lawerence a chance, the writers rip my heart out and begin breaking them apart. Can Insecure let any of these characters live??
Season 1, Episode 4 – Divorce gives us more blessed immaturity as Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Robert (Thomas Haden Church) go through mediation. Robert has a eureka moment while Frances continues to live in delusion-land.
Season 1, Episode 5 – The Man in Black and Ford come head to head in this episode of Westworld, and Delores continues to have visions and hear voices in her head. Is there something she’s meant to do? Elsie has discovered something troubling inside the host who tried to kill her, but who put it there and why?
Season 1, Episodes 1-4 – Good Girls Revolt starts strong with focus on its lead women, and needs to maintain that focus to live up to its potential.
Season 2, Episode 5 – Ash, Ruby, Pablo and Kelly find themselves in uncomfortably close quarters with Sheriff Emery and his family… and something a bit more supernatural, too.
Season 1, Episode 8 – Quarry ends with all of the elements you need to leave us still wanting for more in a second season. Not sure whether Cinemax will bring it back, but Mac’s storyline needs to be fleshed out more. This Vietnam vet fought on behalf of a lie, and he’s choosing to do it again for another one.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency amps up the thrills and horror in “Lost and Found.” With many of our questions slowly being answered, and more being asked, the series is shaping up to unravel in mysteriously fun, chaotic ways.
Season 1, Episode 6 – MacGyver sends us on an emotional ride in “Wrench,” as Mac gets a visit from The Ghost who’s haunted his past. With more focus on character motivation, the series is finally starting to find a nice balance between action and story development.
Season 2, Episode 2 – Yay, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend! This week, Rebecca wonders “When Will Josh See How Cool I Am?”, Greg tells his friends about his alcoholism, and Rebecca manages to have a fantasy about ping pong making her seem sexy and empowered. Oh, Rebecca.
Season 3, Epsiodes 4-6 – Black Mirror explores engineering our after life, a cure for wartime realities, and how hashtags can be deadly.
Season 2, Episode 3 – In this weeks episode of Legends of Tomorrow, Heywood gets a new power, screws up, and forces the crew to crash land in Feudal Japan. Also in this week’s episode, I’ve officially added Heywood to my “Characters I Can’t Stand” List.
Season 1, Episode 1 – In the premiere of Pure Genius, tech billionaire James Bell recruits brilliant surgeon Dr. Walter Wallace for the task of creating the hospital of the future, taking on supposedly hopeless cases and trying to cure the incurable. Unfortunately, for all the promised flash and wonderment, the episode falls flat with cliched characters and attempted drama that feels unearned.
