Season 3, Episode 8 – Gretchen decides to help Lindsay, Jimmy, and Edgar with their problems using tough love in an attempt to prove that her own mother was a good parent, with disastrous but hilarious effects.
Season 2, Episode 4 – Impastor exposes a flaw—it’s hard to care about Dora, Russell, and Alden’s inconsequential stories when Buddy is dealing with life or death stakes. This week, Dora runs into an old prom date, Alden goes on a date with Ashley, and Buddy escapes his torturer only to deal with an arsonist.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Frequency brings out the cop drama in full force, but that’s the least interesting element of the show.
Season 6, Episode 6 – In the sixth installment of American Horror Story, the show changes to explore the actors who portrayed the real characters lives after My Roanoke Nightmare aired, and the producer Sidney’s big idea to return to the house during a Blood Moon to film a follow up reality series.
Season 3, Episode 3 – This week’s episode of The Flash sees Harrison Wells’ return as well as a new metahuman to cause problems for Barry as he takes the first steps forward in personal life. With unexpected help, Barry goes forth once again as Central City’s guardian in more ways than one as The Flashpoint Paradox continues.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Bri honeypots a young Devyn to escape the compound in the Aftermath while Aunt Sally is attacked by a tiny new threat and the Copelands discover an airfield with pens full of angry feverheads run by a special forces buddy from Karen’s past.
Season 3, Episode 2 – “Breaking Chains” finds the status quo changed for Eddie and his brothers as this week’s Fresh Off the Boat finds everyone accepting various changes in their lives. With summer coming to a close and a new school year beginning the three brothers must learn to adapt accordingly including Jessica, whose none too pleased.
Season 2, Episode 4 – After Chad Radwell’s shocking death on the last episode of Scream Queens, how will the rest of the hospital staff grieve? And is a Halloween party really the best way to find the killer behind the mask?
Season 1, Episode 3 – No Tomorrow builds on its characters and their relationships in “No Doubt.” With the first big road bump in Evie and Xavier’s relationship, the show continues to play with its eccentric personalities in fun and interesting ways.
Season 1, Episode 1-2 – Hugh Laurie plays a different type of troubled doctor in Hulu’s new original series Chance, which got off to a slow, strange start with the two episodes it released today.
Season 1, Episode 8 – In this week’s Atlana, Earn, Paper Boi and Darius have a fairly uneventful night at a club… until an eventful moment outside it.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Channel Zero delivers an effectively creepy episode full of moments of unsettling horror, with an unexpected confession that changes the direction of the narrative in an interesting way.
Season 1, Episode 4 – This Is Us, finally plays to its strengths, in an episode that places character and emotion as a priority.
Season 1, Episode 4 – In a fun change of pace, Bull and his team visit a small town in Texas to work on a patent infringement case, going up against a tough judge and a population wary of outsiders.
Season 4, Episode 4 – Agents of SHIELD does well with characterization but falls a bit flat on plot in “Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire.” While the elements of the episode are good, the structure never lets the episode find that SHIELD oomph.
Season 1, Episode 2 – American Housewife takes us through a day in the life of Katie Otto (Katy Mixon) as she tries to take a nap, something we all take for granted, because we don’t have a husband, kids or a mean ol’ school crossing guard Sandy (Kate Flannery) standing in our way.
Season 4, Episode 5 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine puts on its annual heist in “Halloween IV.” Though the team is up to their usual antics with new tricks up their sleeves, this year’s heist didn’t have quite the blindside the show typically aims for.
Season 2, Episode 4 – Lucifer helps distract Chloe from her divorce issues by setting up a girls night out with Maze, Doc Martin, and Ella. Meanwhile, Lucifer, Detective Dan, and Amenadiel attend a sex party looking for a suspect in two homicides. Charlotte suffers her first few days as a wife and barely survives being a mother to human children.
Season 3, Episode 5 -The people of Gotham embrace Penguin as Mayor but the Red Hood Gang attacks his efforts all over the city. Nygma takes on an oversight position at GCPD which angers Barnes and Lee. Bruce hires Jim Gordon to find Ivy Pepper on Selina’s behalf. Gordon offers some relationship advice but all the baddie are fighting for what they love.
Season 1, Episode 3 – The third episode of legal drama Conviction does some of its best character work yet, as the CIU team divides over a case involving a controversial and disturbing defendant. If you can ignore the incredibly contrived ending to this week’s case-of-the-week plot, it’s probably the show’s most intense episode to date.
Season 1, Episode 7 – Apparently the true test of friendship is whether or not you can withstand missing out on Coachella.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Lucy, Wyatt, and Rufus follow Flynn back to 1962 in this episode of Timeless in order to stop Flynn’s diabolical plans. What does Flynn want in Las Vegas, and how is Anthony involved in Flynn’s plans? Can Flynn change the future and save the woman he loves from certain death?
Season 3, Episode 1 – In Monday night’s Season 3 premiere of Jane the Virgin, it’s revealed that Michael (Brett Dier) isn’t dead. But Jane (Gina Rodriguez) seems to have some unfinished business with an old lover. Ooh La La.
Season 2, Episode 2 – In this week’s Supergirl Kara and Clark work together to take out Kryptonite powered villains that Cadmus created. Cat makes a big announcement at CatCo and Kara’s new boss gives her a hard time.
Season 5, Episode 3 – The Mindy Project shows its age with an episode that rehashes old jokes and familiar stories, as Mindy’s relationship with Ben develops while the nurses’ strike continues on.
Season 4, Episode 6 – Masters of Sex had a major and problematic character death last night and it placed a dark cloud over the remainder of the season.
Season 1 – Haters Back Off is Netflix’s new comedy series, starring Youtube sensation Miranda Sings. This disturbing, surreal, and dark comedy, follows Miranda as she claws her way into stardom, with no talent. Despite it being a comedy, this series has some pretty heavy moments, leaving the viewer wondering whether they should laugh or cry.
Season 2, Episode 3 – Ash and old high school buddy (and former Desert Storm operative) Chet whip up a ketamine-based cocktail to enliven a kegger, designed to draw in the hooligans who took Ash’s beloved Oldsmobile for an unauthorized joyride.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Van Helsing battles an old friend when Julius tests her authenticity. We meet Dmitri’s creepy sister and get a glimpse into their inappropriate relationship while Rebecca captures Sheema stealing plans to the factory. Axel fights off a mutiny at the hospital when the killer strikes again in another dark, dramatic episode.
