CW (NETWORK)
Lauren Gussis has teamed up with Ryan Seacrest Productions, Storied Media Group, CBS TV Studios for insatiable, a procedural drama in the works at The CW. This is Gussis’s third sale after setting up projects at CBS and TNT.
1987 fantasy novel Weaveworld by Clive Barker is in the work at The CW with Josh Stolberg tapped to pen the pilot. This is not the network’s first attempt at an adaptation of Weaveworld, with Jack Kenny writing a version last season but it did not go to pilot.
Former Mistresses star Alyssa Milano has a new project in the works with The CW based off of her 2014 graphic novel Hacktivist. Covert Affairs creators and executive producers Matt Corman and Chris Ord will pen the pilot.
Based on the ABC primetime soap opera that ran from 1981 to 1989, The CW is currently working on a reboot of Dynasty. Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are set to head this new iteration.
Pitched as Children of Men meets Another Earth. As humanity’s mass exodus to a new habitable planet nears its completion, 21-year-old Theo must journey across a dying Earth to reunite his estranged family and secure their passage on the final rocket out.
The actor will voice the big bad in season two, Professor Zoom.
While details are scarce, the series will be set in the present and focus on the residents of Crystal Lake as they are forced to confront the return of the infamous killer, as more secrets of his origins surface.
In a year filled with television reboots of hit films, Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling novel/film is the latest to enter the development slate at The CW.
Keiynan Lonsdale has been cast as Wally West in the second season of CW’s hit superhero series The Flash. Lonsdale will be a series regular, playing the fast-footed nephew of Candice Patton’s Iris West, with his first appearance on the drama slated for the winter.
The reboot of Archie and his pals is moving from FOX to CW.
