Season 3, Episode 20 – Dre shows signs of maturity on an otherwise forgettable episode of Black-ish. It’s not the return to form fans might have hoped for after last week’s disaster, but it’s solid.

Season 3, Episode 12 – Empire has it’s first miss of the season, deciding to focus on Hakeem’s birthday and Jamal’s lovelife over the growing legal problems and Anika’s disappearance. The one breakout of the episode has been Nia Long as Giusa, a character who seems to be of an old Mafioso era giving Andre Lyon a real run for his money.
Season 1, Episode 19 – It started like yet another bad episode of Speechless – obvious setups, poorly drawn characters, and of all things, Ray involved in a pyramid scheme – but a change in tone regarding J.J.’s future brings a needed dose of reality to the series.
Season 2, Episode 12 – The penultimate episode of The Path has some shocking twists, setting up an explosive (literally) finale. However, despite the drama, Sarah and Hawk’s characterization continues to frustrate.

Season 1, Episode 18 – American Housewife teaches us that it is not cool to give up. If that’s the case, then I need to re-evaluate everything I’ve quit in life – jobs, relationships, projects, and “Luke Cage”. This week’s lesson is well-meaning but a little full of poo. IJS.
Season 4, Episode 16 – Agents of SHIELD rewrites the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe in “What If…” mixing together painstaking attention to MCU detail with a little real-world politics. The differences between SHIELD regular world and the alternate reality provide tension while nothing is changed so much that you divest from the story entirely.
