Week two in the box office, and the Avengers go right on avenging. It should come as no surprise to anyone who lives near a screen of any kind that Age of Ultron will take the weekend again. And not just by a little; possibly by a factor of 5.
This weekend’s winner will be… oh, you already know. The question isn’t whether Age of Ultron will win the weekend, the only interesting question that has yet to be answered, so far as the box office goes, is whether Age of Ultron will specifically break the record for highest-grossing opening weekend that was set by The Avengers.
Neither “Age of Adaline” nor “Ex Machina” can move “Furious 7” from the top of the stack.
A new crop of releases brings some life to the box office, but Furious 7 will likely drive away with it all for the third week.
