Episode two of The Family was considerably less exciting than the premiere. It felt as if the show was spinning its wheels, hammering home the same points again and again (mainly, Adam probably isn’t Adam and Hank isn’t completely innocent).

The Walking Dead team delivers a guns-blazing action movie with Not Tomorrow Yet. Right now it looks like team Rick has two doctors at their disposal, but if things keep up like this, they’re gonna need an armorer.
Last night’s episode of Colony gave us a couple Lost-esque moments. Were they “We have to go back, Kate!” moments? No. But they wet the pallet enough for me to believe the show can perhaps get close to that one day.
Santos uses her “Live Wire Act” to expose Woz’s Shades Of Blue as the team moves past the loss of Saperstein. Everyone deals loss differently, but the man that killed Saperstein takes it the hardest.
Ok, The Family. You’ve successfully captured my attention. Can’t wait to see what happens next week.
The cold open of last week’s Broad City featured a hulked out Abbi destroying a child’s basketball, setting up this week’s story: the recently promoted to trainer Abbi, known as “Tonya Harding” to her high school friends, goes all out and then some at Soulstice’s game day.
The first part of the two-part season finale of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia brought some big laughs and one huge character moment you either saw coming years ago or were completely surprised by.
Interesting mash up of two episodes for The Muppets season finale. Will there be a second season is the big elephant in the room. It didn’t quite find and settle into it’s niche.
Who are you rooting for? What’s keeping me on the edge of my seat despite knowing how it all concludes is how surprising it is when I am suddenly realizing I’m sympathizing with a character I didn’t think I would.
This week’s episode of The Grinder focuses on an identity crisis. Most of the recent episodes have really made an effort to focus the show on Stewart. His feelings, methods and ideas became the audience’s own.
Agent Carter‘s “Hollywood Ending” is exactly that, in the most 1940’s sense of the term. That is: every plot is resolved, each character completes a satisfying arc, and also there are kisses. Nice kisses. Kisses I’m not complaining about, for once!
Rebecca and Josh head to Los Angeles to work on their case, sounds so official. A real case, imagine that! They not only work on legalities and a class action suit, but also on issues from their personal lives and feelings that have been brushed under the rug.
I don’t have as much to say about this episode because… it was so fun! Supergirl/Kara must fight against “Indigo”, an alien that exists in the cyber world and has hacked into the entire city in an effort to destroy it and steal a nuclear bomb to blow up National City.
Lucifer deals with the injustice of his father and the curse he feels for not being the “Favorite Son” in this week’s episode.
Gotham continues it’s fantastic run of villain stories with the introduction of “Mr. Freeze”.
Things don’t go well for Jimmy on Better Call Saul for too long before he begins to self-destruct. Even when he tries to do the right thing, he does it in a way that gets him in trouble. Has he already ostracized himself from his new bosses, or will his creative leap lead to plaudits?
Fuller House is the “mom jeans” of sitcoms. It means well, but it is so corny at times that you just can’t handle it. But in the end, there’s so much after-school special love that you drop all your skepticism and give it a great, big hug.
Of all the characters on The Walking Dead to catch baby fever, it’s Abraham Ford that opens his heart when “Knots Untie”. This was a fun episode for the human semi-automatic.
Stuff is about to go down in the world of Colony. If they can sprinkle in some actual sci-fi for me in the final three episodes and keep up this level of storytelling, I’ll be happy.
“Good Cop, Bad Cop” feels like the kind of episode Shades Of Blue is all about: the difficulties of imperfect people making tough choices about keeping the peace in an environment where justice rarely exists.
It surprises me that it’s taken this long for us to get a straight St. Paddy’s Day themed episode of It’s Always Sunny seeing as their pub is named Paddy’s and the Gang basically treats every day like an Irish drinking festival anyway.
In this week’s hilarious episode of Broad City, Abbi and Ilana switch places! Watching Abbi wear Ilana’s ridiculous clothing and impersonate her crazy mannerisms was amazing, mainly because the show has worked so hard to create such a memorable, unique character.
Expectations were high going into tonight’s episode of Black-ish. The show has consistently addressed heavy issues with a mixture of humor and heart, and tonight’s episode hit both of those with incredible force.
The Muppets started off strong upon their return from hiatus, but it seems to be missing something as of lately. Though the show is generally moving in a more traditional way, much familiar to the that of the classic Muppets, there’s something that’s off.
One gripe I’ve heard about this show so far is that it’s not clear whose story this is. However, I am enjoying every piece of this ever-moving story and the latest episode, “100 Percent Not Guilty” was perhaps the best yet.
If you ever wanted to know what’s really up with the mysterious Mr. Sands, here’s your chance. In a jam-packed character history hour, we get to find out precisely what made Mr. Sands into the cold, intimidating man he is today.
The Grinder is dead, long live The Grinder! In one of the more interesting episodes of the show, The Grinder has managed to both give a unique insight into their characters and plot. The conceit behind the episode is simple: Dean becomes more like Stewart/Stewart becomes more like Dean.
Billie Jean King arrives on Fresh Off The Boat when Louis experiences “Michael Change Fever” and the boys take career placement tests at school.
This has gotten kind of squirrelly. Does anyone else feel like Agent Carter is scraping its wing tips trying to land? Overall, the thing is solid, but I’m a bit like “???” with some of the persnickety details here. Let’s get those out of the way first.
Supergirl has had a nice stretch of strong episodes the past few weeks. Dare I say, the show may have hit it’s stride? I don’t want to jinx but I am loving every week more and more!
