NYCC keeps getting bigger and bigger, and this year was the biggest yet with a wealth of panels, new footage, undercover celebrities, and of course, amazing costumes. Here are a few of last week’s many highlights.

After Chad Stahelski and David Leitch’s successful directing of John Wick, only one of them will be working on the sequel. Leitch has left to direct Charlize Theron’s spy thriller,The Coldest City.
Writer/director Richard Bates Jr. has just finished wrapping up his third feature, Trash Fire, a psychological horror comedy described as a combination of Psycho and Harold and Maude.
Natasha Pulley’s debut novel, The Watchmaker of Filigree Street, has hit the market in search of the right mix of charm and elusiveness to match its unique story. Her work has been likened to that of Neil Gaiman.
Actor Simon McBurney has joined The Conjuring 2. The cast already includes Francis O’Connor, Vera Farmiga, and Patrick Wilson, with the latter two reprising their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren.
Co-starring Steve Carell, the upcoming biopic, BATTLE OF THE SEXES, was set to star Emma Stone as Billie Jean King, the 1973 female tennis pro who defeated a male former Wimbledon champion.
With Owen Wilson, Ed Helps, Terry Bradshaw, and Ving Rhames starring in the upcoming comedy BASTARDS, the film already promises to be hilarious. Now in final negotiations, Glenn Close is set to join them.
With Joey Harrelson and Richard Jenkins already cast in Rob Reiner’s LBJ, this upcoming drama promises to be an excellent film. Now, Jennifer Jason Leigh has joined them in the role of Lady Bird Johnson.
Starring Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, Wonder Woman already sets high expectations for the rest of the cast. Word has spread that Sean Bean and Eva Green are in early talks to join them.
