Season 1, Episode 10 – In the season finale of Shots Fired, we see Preston and Ashe fighting the powers that be trying to battle racial policing. “Last Dance” is a wonderful ending to a series with a premise that lacked easy answers.
SHOTS FIRED
Season 1, Episode 9 – Shots Fired has been a roller coaster of false starts, lost plots, dead ends as the series winds down we finally begin to get closure in two murders that have hit close to home. “Come to Jesus” suggests Preston and Ashe will get a proper conclusion if this is their last case together.
Season 1, Epsidoe 8 – In the eighth installment of Shots Fired, we finally get the much-needed air to not only catch our breath but learn more about our characters and their relationships since the dual murder investigation and local community unrest.
Season 1, Episode 7 – In the 7th installment of Shots Fired we finally get to what we’ve all been thinking that maybe Ashe and Preston aren’t really doing the best job in Gate Station. It’s clear that everyone in Gate Station has been super suspicious of the investigation and the attention to the Jesse Carr case.
Season 1, Episode 6 – “The Fire This Time” begins with violence in Gate Station after weeks of rising tensions over the investigations into the deaths of Joey Campbell and Jesse Carr. The unrest in the town is so thick you can’t even consume in fact much of this episode felt the same way.
Season 1, Episode 5 – The fifth installment of Shots Fired finally begins to put all the pieces together to form a puzzle worth watching.
Season 1, Episode 4 – In the fourth installment of Shots Fired, we pick up with Ashe discovering Cory hiding out in his dad’s apartment. She calls Preston and he quickly comes over so he can hear Cory’s story of Joey’s death.
Season 1, Episode 3 – This week’s episode of Shots Fired put “black-on black crime” on full display with politics at the center of all the turmoil, as we see learn how the investigations into the deaths of Jesse Carr and Joey Campbell affect the community.
Season 1, Episode 2 – The second installment of Shots Fired opened with deceased teen Jesse Carr’s father approaching Deputy James Beck as he arrives home. Gun in hand, Carr’s anger and heartbreak is more than understandable.
Season 1, Episode 1 – Created by Gina Prince-Bythewood who also directed the first episode and Reggie Rock Bythewood, the series opens with the shooting death of a white teenager by an African American police officer Joshua Beck in North Carolina.
