Season 4, Episode 6 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine brings the return of Pimento in “Monster in the Closet.” With a couple of strong running jokes and some focus on less-used characters, the show continues to stay fresh.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Berlin Station fights back in “Unter Druck.” With a strange choice of story conventions and character motivations, the show continues to struggle to convey its intentions to its audience.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency ups the thrills and horror in “Watkin.” With new turns and more answers that lead to even more questions, the show continues to keep a high level of intrigue.
Season 1, Episode 8 – MacGyver amps up the stakes and takes on an untraceable assassin in “Corkscrew.” With a plotline channeling the lone-wolf element from the original series, and some new developments in the season arc, MacGyver keeps proving this isn’t a show to immediately write off.
Season 4, Episode 6 – The Goldbergs relives 80’s action movies in “Recipe for Death II: Kiss The Cook.” With themes of family love and bonding mixed with the wacky one-liners and 80’s references that the show does best, The Goldbergs continues to shine.
Season 1, Episode 4 – Berlin Station ups the tension in “By Way of Deception.” But with show’s slow burn and insistence on focusing in unexpected places, the episode still misses its mark.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency finds a new door to step through in “Rogue Wall Enthusiasts.” With a few more jokes and some new discoveries about our characters, the third episode in the series propels the story forward in a wildly entertaining way.
Season 1, Episode 7 – MacGyver takes on its version of the prison break plot “Can Opener.” With a nice balance of action, invention, and character development, it feels as though the show has finally found its sweet spot.
Season 1, Episode 5 – No Tomorrow explores the relationships between its supporting characters in “No Regrets.” With a whole new list of developments happening in the episode, this could be the start to a very interesting turn of events in the show.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Berlin Station spirals into conspiracy and threatens Daniel’s cover in “Riverrun Dry.” Continuing with its slow pace, the show leaves a lot to be desired amidst what could be a high-tension, thrilling watch.
Season 1, Episode 2 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency amps up the thrills and horror in “Lost and Found.” With many of our questions slowly being answered, and more being asked, the series is shaping up to unravel in mysteriously fun, chaotic ways.
Season 1, Episode 6 – MacGyver sends us on an emotional ride in “Wrench,” as Mac gets a visit from The Ghost who’s haunted his past. With more focus on character motivation, the series is finally starting to find a nice balance between action and story development.
Season 1, Episode 5 – The Goldbergs puts on a spooky spoof of Stephen King stories with “Stefan King.” The real winning moment of the episode, though, is the dynamic between siblings Barry and Erica.
Season 1, Episode 4 – No Tomorrow steps up its subject matter in “No Holds Barred.” With a lighthearted tone but a realistic view on the complexities of human desires and relationships, the show manages to address bold topics while keeping things fun.
Season 1, Episode 1 – Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency beautifully meshes absurdist humor and dark thriller drama in “Horizons.” With a chaotic whirlwind of character introductions and mysterious loose ends, the show promises to be a wild and fun ride.
Season 1, Episode 5 – MacGyver starts to move on from his evil ex-girlfriend in “Toothpick.” Though the show continues to improve with each episode, its voice hasn’t quite landed yet.
Season 1, Episode 3 – No Tomorrow builds on its characters and their relationships in “No Doubt.” With the first big road bump in Evie and Xavier’s relationship, the show continues to play with its eccentric personalities in fun and interesting ways.
Season 4, Episode 5 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine puts on its annual heist in “Halloween IV.” Though the team is up to their usual antics with new tricks up their sleeves, this year’s heist didn’t have quite the blindside the show typically aims for.
Season 1, Episode 4 – MacGyver continues to develop its characters’ emotional storylines in “Wire Cutter.” With an interesting spin on an old story trope, the show continues to add depth to its characters and improve upon its rough beginnings.
Season 1, Episode 2 – No Tomorrow continues to be adorable in “No Crying in Baseball.” Despite its oddball characters, the show proves it cares more about the heart as it dives further into our lovebirds’ lives.
Season 4, Episode 4 – Brooklyn Nine-Nine jumps back into its regular format with a small twist in “The Night Shift.” The crossover event with New Girl leaves a little bit to be desired in this week’s jokes and story.
Season 1, Episode 3 – MacGyver finally finds its footing in “Awl.” With a compelling storyline and clever inventions, the series’ third episode redeems the show’s previous flaws and gives us a taste of what this revamped reboot could be.
Season 1, Episode 1 – The CW debuts its new series No Tomorrow and with it, a new dawn for romantic comedies on television. In its “Pilot” episode, we meet an incredibly fun story and quirky cast. When Evie Covington finds the man of her dreams, it seems too good to be true, until she discovers he believes the world is going to end. Now she must decide whether or not she wants to live every day like she’s about to die.
Season 4, Episode 3 – In this solid conclusion episode of the opening season three-episode arc, Jake and Holt reunite with the rest of the nine-nine team in the hopes of finally catching Jimmy “The Butcher” Figgis. The episode doesn’t disappoint in this season’s continued delivery of prime comedic outcomes.
Season 2, Episode 2 – A serious improvement upon the pilot, this week’s episode of MacGyver still lacked the necessary cohesion to be a good show.
Season 4, Episode 2 – In another hilarious episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Jake and Holt find themselves in a predicament they didn’t quite plan for when they let Jimmy Figgis find them. Now their only hope might be the rest of the nine-nine.
Season 1, Episode 1- Modern takes on action in film and television have left the newly rebooted MacGyver wanting and without the charm and intelligent mystery that forever engraved the original in pop culture history.
Season 4, Episode 1 – Chaotic man-child Jake Peralta and robotic straight-man Captain Holt find themselves stuck in the worst place imaginable: sweaty Florida. A stray from the usual narrative ensemble cast, this season’s opener does not disappoint in humor or story development.
