THE AFFAIR
Big, buzzy shows. Popcorn entertainment-forward fare.
The series explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together.
Season 3, Episode 10 – The season finale of The Affair is appropriate. Noah (Dominic West) builds a bridge with his daughter, Whitney, and we’re left wondering where he will end up in Season 4.
Season 3, Episode 9 – The Affair hands us a surefire psychological and emotional thriller. Noah (Dominic West) needs to be committed, and so does Helen (Maura Tierney). These two are on a fast track to having their kids in therapy for life.
Season 3, Episode 8 – The Affair gets more real as the season comes to a close. It forces not only the characters to face their realities when in love, but it forces me to do the same.
Season 3, Episode 7 – Love sucks. When it’s not returned. That’s the case for Helen on The Affair. She is so in love with Noah that she can’t see straight. And neither can he. Literally.
Season 3, Episode 6 – “New Year, New Me” doesn’t apply to Helen and Noah. They are giving drama a new name with their shenanigans from Sunday’s episode of The Affair.
Season 3, Episode 5 – The Affair includes another affair – the one between Cole (Joshua Jackson) and Alison (Ruth Wilson). Alison, as she says herself, seems to make one bad decision after another.
Last night, the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards handed out the top prizes to various categories in film and television, further heating up the awards race. Damien Chazelle’s musical breakout La La Land took top honors for film, while Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley nabbed the highest awards in the television race.
Season 3, Episode 4 – The Affair heats up with Cole (Joshua Jackson) and Alison (Ruth Wilson). Cole’s wife, Luisa, (Catalina Moreno) can sense something is going on with those two but can’t confirm whether it’s true or whether she’s crazy.
Season 3, Episode 3 – Is that Brendan Fraser? That’s all I could think about while watching episode 3 of The Affair. Turns out it is, and he is creepy as hell as John Gunther, Noah Solloway’s worst nightmare.
Season 3, Episode 2 – The Affair gives us Helen’s (Maura Tierney) and Alison’s (Ruth Wilson) perspectives on what’s been happening in the last 3 years, and of course, it’s different from Noah’s (Dominic West).
Season 3, Episode 1 – What the hell is happening on The Affair? The Season 3 premiere introduces us to Noah (Dominic West) somewhat fresh out of jail for killing his estranged wife’s ex-husband’s brother or something like that. A ghost from his jail chronicles is following him, and we’re not sure why. But something between those two characters must have went down, and I’m hooked to find out what.
