Season 4, Episode 10 – Thrill and suspense hit a season high in “Paint Misbehavin’,” and Fred Armisen “fleshes” out his new character, inviting growing suspicion from our scrappy gang.
THE LAST MAN ON EARTH
Season 4, Episode 9 – In a needed deviation from our current plot, Fred Armisen adds some new stakes, humor, and inevitable tension to the mix.
Season 4, Episode 8 – In a solid episode, one character disappears, a new one emerges, and the gang reaches a critical point that will define not only their next steps, but the fate of the world… or what’s left of it.
Season 4, Episode 7 – A swing back in the right direction was desperately needed, and this episode brought genuine sweetness — and laughs—back to the table.
Season 4, Episode 6 – The moment we’ve all been waiting for finally came, but the episode itself was remarkably unexciting.
Season 4, Episode 5 – This episode of “Last Man on Earth” adds elements of “Breaking Bad”, and some needed suspense builds as our group settles into their new (haunted) home.
Season 4, Episode 4 – With a handful of hollow jokes, this episode redeemed itself with a solemn twist that brought back out the heart of the show, alive and pumping.
Season 4, Episode 2 – A new character breathes some life into the series, but the episode lags, drags, and lacks in major laughs as the gang grapples with another potential catastrophe.
Season 4, Episode 1 – Moderately funny bits and strong performances from the cast keep this episode afloat, but season 4 premiere of Last Man on Earth feels more like a boat adrift in the open sea.
Fox keeps Marvel and DC separate on the schedule and shifts Lethal Weapon to lead on Tuesdays as a lead in for The Mick and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Click here to see Fox’s full fall schedule.
Season 3, Episodes 17-18 – Plenty of our questions are answered in the season (maybe series) finale of The Last Man on Earth, with cameos, little miracles and big disasters. Balancing all of it with stellar work from the supporting cast, the double shot is a worthy finish for season three.
Season 3, Episode 16 – The Last Man on Earth takes a giant leap forward, for good and for bad, in an episode that ultimately focuses back on Phil. What else is new? So much plot to talk about as the survivors creep closer to the season (maybe series?) finale.
Season 3, Episode 15 – Welcome back, The Last Man on Earth, and after a two-week hiatus, we get a pretty insightful look at how the survivors are misunderstanding what a child (and really, everyone) needs. And we get a massive party!
Season 3, Episode 14 – We have a new visitor on The Last Man on Earth, but the writing staff bungles the storyline by making it all about Tandy. Also, Carol gets angry at Gail and Todd, and Melissa says nothing.
Season 3, Episode 13 – Is The Last Man on Earth creeping toward some big reveal for the end of season three? Probably, but it’s taking a while to get there, as a new creature shows “face” to the survivors.
Season 3, Episode 12 – The stakes are increasing as The Last Man on Earth reaches its possible end, but do we feel it? As half the group attempts to understand Melissa’s past, and the other half deals with Gail’s return, we need a greater response.
Season 3, Episode 11 – A shocking twist finds our group in even more dire straits, but maybe Phil’s plan will help the group after all in this episode of The Last Man on Earth, which thankfully has a little bit of everything.
Season 3, Episode 10 – The Last Man on Earth returns for the spring and gives us a standalone half-hour of Kristen Wiig descending into madness. Veering from the main cast, the show tells the story of the beginning of the virus that wiped out humanity, focusing on Wiig’s socialite and her little dog.

Last night, the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards handed out the top prizes to various categories in film and television, further heating up the awards race. Season 3, Episode 9 – The fall finale of The Last Man on Earth tells us just how dark the series has become in recent weeks. Not only are Gail – trapped in an elevator – and Melissa – trapped in her own head – problematic for the group’s survival, but just about everyone has their own demons to battle.
Season 3, Episode 8 – Melissa and Gail are missing, causing a major rift between the desperate Todd and Carol in The Last Man on Earth. But will Phil dressed in a dinosaur suit threaten to get in the way of the search party? You bet it will.
Season 3, Episode 7 – Now that Gail and Carol are “legally” mother and daughter, the latter has some extreme expectations for the former, and that doesn’t sit well. But this episode of The Last Man on Earth is really about the comedic development of January Jones, as Melissa goes baby crazy, then AWOL, leaving the group on high alert.
Season 3, Episode 6 – While attempting to repair his relationship with Lewis, Phil discovers a painful backstory that leads the two to Seattle. Meanwhile, Carol does everything possible to make Gail an official part of her family in a beautiful and melancholy The Last Man on Earth.
Season 3, Episode 5 – The survivors reach their new home: a spotless, powered, five-story tech headquarters. But some relationships dissolve – while others get more complicated – and sabotage continues to reign in the season’s finest episode of The Last Man on Earth.
Season 3, Episode 4 – It’s time to leave Malibu on The Last Man on Earth, so the gang takes a road trip up the California coast to San Francisco. Phil imagines the group is like Noah’s Arc, but things almost fall completely apart for our assembled mammals. Can the group see the light?
Season 3, Episode 3 – Is it time to leave Malibu and get away from the potentially murderous Pat? That’s what most of the group wants in The Last Man on Earth, except Phil, of course. Will the group give into fear or rip off the bandage and start anew?
Season 3, Episode 2 – Phil tries to appease everyone in the group after Todd runs over the villainous Pat. But there may be bigger problems awaiting the crew in The Last Man on Earth.
Season 3, Episode 1 – The survivors have some invaders to deal with in the third-season premiere of The Last Man on Earth. Will Phil once again make a poor decision on behalf of the group?
