Season 1, Episode 1 – Jude Law stars as The Young Pope in HBO’s newest series. He was chosen for his youth with the idea he could be bent to the will of the older Cardinals, but will he prove himself to be so easily manipulated, or will he shake things up in the Holy City?

Season 1, Episode 1 – Victoria doesn’t hit the same delightful notes as Downton Abbey, but it is intriguing and fun nonetheless.

Season 1, Episode 4 – The Mick still needs to work on some pacing issues, but it’s finally finding its funny footing as the young kid copes with the fact that his parents abandoned him to the care of his frazzled aunt.

Season 1, Episodes 1-4 – A Series of Unfortunate Events features the tragic lives of the three Baudelaire children, in which they lose their parents in a fire and must evade the clutches of Count Olaf, a despicable villain after their family fortune. Along the way, they encounter strange guardian after strange guardian, each new tragedy observed and narrated by melancholy author Lemony Snicket.

Season 1, Episode 13 – MacGyver ramps up the tension and stakes in “Large Blade.” With a storyline that isn’t afraid to pile on the complications for our protagonists, the episode proves to be the best yet in this season of the show.

Season 1, Episode 2 – Emerald City is really doing the most, and not in a good way. There is way too much going on, and I can’t keep up. Luckily, Toto is saving this series from complete failure.

Season 2, Episode 10 – Crazy Ex-Girlfriend takes the shine off Josh in “Will Scarsdale like Josh’s Shayna Punim?” The cracks in Rebecca’s fantasy life start to show when Rebecca takes Josh to meet her family. Meanwhile, Darryl is left to deal with the mean new boss at the law office who keeps terrorizing the employees.

Season 2, Episode 12 – Cloud Nine corporate comes to the store to oversee a new product launch, causing Jonah to question whether or not he wants to return to business school and Mateo to struggle to hide the fact that he’s dating Jeff.

Season 1, Episode 11 – The plot thickens in this week’s The Good Place, but still leaves room for funny and charming character moments.

Season 1, Episode 11 – In this week’s episode of Pure Genius, Nina pushes Bell to defy the FDA by using an unapproved treatment to slow the progression of a patient’s terminal illness. Meanwhile, tension grows between Dr. Verlaine and Dr. Brockett as Bell and Dr. Brockett bond while working together to cure another patient’s rare skin disease.

Season 1, Episode 11 – Riggs and Murtaugh trace the Lethal Weapon used to kill a Texas Ranger to their brothers at the Sheriff’s department and uncover a dangerous secret that could end Captain Avery’s career. Murtaugh stretches his integrity as far as he can to balance what’s right with what’s needed for true justice.

Season 1, Episode 7 – This week’s Incorporated finds Aaron’s mind reading machine up and running to both his advantage and disadavntage. Meanwhile, Laura may have gotten help in the Red Zone while Theo loeses himself further to Terrence.

Season 1, Episode 11 – As Frequency continues to gear up toward the finally, things get way darker and slightly more interesting. There is just a lot of murder in the water over in the woods of Queens.

Season 4, Episode 12 – The Goldbergs does its very Goldberg-y best in “Snow Day.” With simple but entertaining storylines, the episode is well done in its execution, but not overtly exciting.

Season 3, Episode 12 – Black-ish addresses the election in a timely, resonant episode. Set eight weeks after the election, the Johnsons deal with the uncertainty, despair, and other feelings that have plagued many of us since Trump’s surprise win.

Season 1, Episode 3 – After a meeting with her angelic mother, Simone has to choose whether she wants to depart this world, or stay in it with her sister. As for Star, Alex and everyone else, they’re dealing with more worldly problems, hoping to get their music off the ground and dealing with their self-imposed “mother” Carlotta.

Season 1, Episode 12 – J.J. is back in the spotlight this week on Speechless, becoming a hero to some high school kid, but Ray has trouble accepting that his own brother could be an inspiration. Maya and Jimmy have trouble securing a good wheelchair for their son, so they take it to the track – in more ways than one.

Season 1, Episode 11 – American Housewife gives us a glimpse of what Viv can be like when she’s honest. Unfortunately, she is still annoying af.

Season 1, Episode 9 – Bob Lee makes a deal with the villain Shooter for the safety of his family, Memphis is faced with dilemmas she never trained for and Meachum pays a price for his bad behavior. Julie proves to be a much more difficult hostage than Payne imagined and we lose one of the show favorites heading into the finale.

Season 1, Episode 3 – The Mick is finally finding its footing and its funny, as the characters come together to solve problems.

Season 1, Episode 1 – James Delaney appears in London like a ghost after having been presumed dead and missing for the last ten years on Taboo. Incredible rumors have followed him, tales of savagery and witchcraft, and he’s come to claim his birthright as his father’s heir, but it puts him on a collision course with the East India Company. How will one man compete with a company more powerful than nations?

Season 1, Episode 11 – In the midseason premiere, the Pearsons try to tug at our heartstrings and are mostly successful.

Season 4, Episode 9 – Agents of SHIELD plays with killer robots, mad science, and corrupt politicians in its action-packed return from hiatus. It plays every sci-fi trope just straight enough to pull the rug out from under you in the precise style this show has slowly cultivated through the seasons.

Season 1, Episode 12 – No Tomorrow reminds us all that this show is worth the time in “No Time Like the Present.” With solid humor and compelling plot reveals, the episode sets up what is sure to be a climatic and cute season (and hopefully not series!) finale.

Season 1, Episode 3 – Freeform’s Beyond proves consistently entertaining and flawed in its third episode, building on the mythology behind Holden’s odd powers and providing some interesting twists that may just surprise you.

Season 4, Episode 2 – In this week’s Sherlock, Sherlock’s attempts to save John from grief send him spiraling into an abyss of depression and drug use. In his obsessive pursuit of Culverton Smith, a new and terrifying addition to the show’s pantheon of villains, Sherlock is led down a dark path that leads to a terrifying reveal.

Season 3, Episode 7 – Love sucks. When it’s not returned. That’s the case for Helen on The Affair. She is so in love with Noah that she can’t see straight. And neither can he. Literally.

Season 1, Episode 11 – As Hayes and Wallace attempt to make a real go of things romantically, the CIU team is drawn in to an active crime investigation. Another murder has taken place which fits the pattern of the infamous Black Orchid serial killer. Is the man the system put behind bars for the crime actually innocent, or is a copycat on the loose?

Season 1, Episode 10 – After an especially long hiatus, Son of Zorn returns with a fast paced and hilarious episode that proves the show has found its rhythm.

Season 1, Episode 1-2 – Emerald City is a series remix on the classic “The Wizard of Oz.” It features a Latina protagonist (love this!) and attempts to connect the real world with the Land of Oz. Although fresh and different, it falls flat (at least in the Pilot).
