Season 1, Episode 2 – The second installment of Westworld expands the scope of the park and also gives us glimpses of what goes on behind the scenes to make Westworld operate on a day-to-day basis. There’s something sinister at the heart of it all, and the mysterious gunslinger played by Ed Harris plans on finding out all of its hidden secrets.
Season 1, Episode 5 – Mother-daughter relationships are the theme for Thursday’s episode of Better Things. It’s not as funny, but this theme is needed for us to fall in love with all of the characters.
Season 2, Episode 4 – Superstore delivers another hilarious episode as Jonah is forced to work the gun counter despite his objections to guns, Glenn buys all the morning after pills in the store, and Garret, Dina, and Matteo deal with an intruding crow.
Season 1, Episode 5 – This week’s The Good Place explores deeper into the soulmate question, while strengthening the characters.
Season 1, Episode 7 – There are just certain things that, if a story gives them to me, I will eat up like a bear slurps honey. I’m discovering that traumatic childhood backstories—especially for villains—are one of those things. That’s what Luke Cage just did for Mariah and Cottonmouth in “Manifest” and I hadn’t realized I’d been waiting for it the entire time.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Pitch‘s “Beanball” mixes an unnecessarily compromising romance plot with a baseball feud, resulting in a patchy episode that teeters too close to sexist narrative tropes for comfort. Ultimately, the bones of the show are still good but the side plot feels like a judgmental detour.
Season 3, Episode 3 – Dre wants to continue Obama’s legacy by getting another black man elected to his office, so he becomes Junior’s campaign manager as Junior runs for Class President. Meanwhile, Pops, Johan and Jack want to sit out all elections, while Bow helps Zoey with her college applications.
Season 3, Episode 3 – In the wake of the remarkable news of a survivor being found in the rubbles of the attack, President Kirkman faces new challenges in running the country. Meanwhile, there is plenty of intrigue on who is to be trusted inside the walls of the White House.
Season 3, Episode 2 – Liza’s secret is once again on the cusp of being revealed as Kelsey continues her quest to access Chad’s laptop. Meanwhile, Liza seems to be getting closer to making a decision about her love life, even as her job security seems to be growing more dependent on her fake age.
Season 1, Episode 3 – Murtaugh and Trish struggle to make time for a long overdue date night while Riggs and Murtaugh work an armored car heist and discover Roger’s mentor, and former Training Officer, was at the wheel. Later they have to save him from a brutal cartel that use machetes as their Lethal Weapon of choice.
Season 6, Episode 4 – There’s something even more terrible in the woods on American Horror Story: Roanoke than The Butcher and her followers, and it’s been awoken during the week of a “Dying Grass Moon”. The spirits can cross between worlds during this lunar cycle and do harm to humans, but will Matt and Shelby find a way to escape the spirits wrath?

Season 2, Episode 2 – Buddy must have a real-life guardian angel, as he survives the situation in the woods. At Dora’s insistence, he meets with an old woman in hopes of getting her to bequeath her estate to the church. Meanwhile, Dora goes on a date with Detective Lovello and a menacing man confronts Alexa, so Buddy’s problems aren’t over yet.

Season 4, Episode 3 – In this solid conclusion episode of the opening season three-episode arc, Jake and Holt reunite with the rest of the nine-nine team in the hopes of finally catching Jimmy “The Butcher” Figgis. The episode doesn’t disappoint in this season’s continued delivery of prime comedic outcomes.

Season 5, Episode 5 – “Just to Get a Rep” is everything that Luke Cage should be. The plot picks up, characters find motivation, and the show embraces its very distinctive 1970’s style. It even ties solidly into the Marvel Universe at large while still remaining a personal story about Luke, Harlem, and the cultural heritage entrusted to Harlem’s citizens.
