Season 4, Episode 12-13 – The season 4 finale is upon us and everyone confronts their demons.
YOU’RE THE WORST
FXX has renewed the Stephen Falk romantic comedy for one final season to wrap up the story of Jimmy and Gretchen.
Season 4, Episode 11 – This week, “the thing” finally happens… but are we really happy about it?
Season 4, Episode 10 – When life gives you lemons, protect them with a baseball bat.
Season 4, Episode 9 – Literally, everyone is the worst this week. EVERYONE.
Season 4, Episode 8 – The most important thing this week was a phone call.
Season 4, Episode 7 – Gretchen goes home and is hit over the head with a reality check.
Season 4, Episode 6 – It looks like the war between Gretchen and Jimmy is over — and Jimmy really isn’t happy about it.
Season 4, Episode 5 – You think you know horror, but you haven’t met Gretchen when she’s declared war.
Season 4, Episode 4 – Jimmy finds himself in new territory, while Gretchen finds herself in old territory.
Season 4, Episode 3 – Things really “heat up” this week on You’re the Worst. The title may imply that we’re in for a heroic tale, but Jimmy is more like an anti-hero (isn’t he always?).
Season 4, Episode 1-2 – You’re the Worst is off to a strong start this season (in my humble opinion). In a two part premiere, we deal with the aftermath of Jimmy’s betrayal last season, as everyone picks up the pieces of their shatter lives. Will they end up destroying each other’s lives again? Likely.
“I don’t think they’re destined to be a great romance,” FXX showrunner Stephen Falk tells Tracking Board.
“We’re in ‘Rachel and Ross take a break.’ We’re in the troubled part,” showrunner Stephen Falk tells Tracking Board of the upcoming season.
Season 3, Episode 12-13 – In the show’s excellent two-part season three finale, relationships are put to the test, as all three main romances fall apart. This may finally be the end of Gretchen and Jimmy.
Season 3, Episode 11 – In an episode comprised mainly of ambitious one-shot long takes, relationships are put to the test as the characters attend a party celebrating Shitstain and Jacqueline’s elopement.
Season 3, Episode 10 – Jimmy has the beginnings of an existential crisis, Edgar gets a new career opportunity, Gretchen practices mindfulness, and Lindsay finally gets that abortion—without telling Paul.
Season 3, Episode 9 – In a rare off episode, You’re the Worst devotes its entire running time to a serious story centering on Vernon and Paul—two characters mainly used for comedic relief—as they get stranded in the wilderness and question their marriages.
Season 3, Episode 8 – Gretchen decides to help Lindsay, Jimmy, and Edgar with their problems using tough love in an attempt to prove that her own mother was a good parent, with disastrous but hilarious effects.
Season 3, Episode 7 – Jimmy holds a memorial service for his dad, Gretchen gets a new client (special guest star Ben Folds), Edgar grapples with the VA’s absurd rules against marijuana, and Lindsay and Paul expand their relationship.
Season 3, Episode 6 – It’s the last Sunday Funday on You’re The Worst, and what a great one it is. In this hilarious episode, Edgar, Lindsay, Gretchen, and Jimmy embark on an insane scavenger hunt that grows increasingly absurd in an attempt to locate a mythical speakeasy
In what’s possibly the best episode of the season so far, we see the world through Edgar’s eyes, as the events of last week are replayed from his perspective.
Season 3, Episode 4 – This week’s You’re the Worst felt like a filler episode, as Gretchen attempts to force Jimmy to deal with his grief by embarking on a sadness tour, while Lindsay and Paul take a parenting class.
Season 3, Episode 3 – You’re The Worst delivers another hilarious episode in what’s shaping up to be the strongest season yet, tackling emotional vulnerability, death, and delusion with the show’s trademark dark wit.
Season 3, Episode 2 – Gretchen finally sees a therapist, played by Samira Wiley, while Jimmy worries about his book proposal and both Edgar and Lindsay begin to unravel.
Season 3, Episode 1 – You’re The Worst returns for its third season with a hilarious, cynical episode culminating in a shocking scene that takes the insanity of these characters to new heights.
